We transform ideas into experiences

idg was born at the intersection of purpose and vocation. Founded in 2001 and renewed in 2013, we adopted a keen focus on the future — and on a crucial gap in the present: the need for innovative management models for public projects in the fields of culture and the environment. Since then, we have pursued a pioneering path that has transformed the way museums and environmental and educational programs are conceived, developed, and managed in Brazil.

More than a private, non-profit organization, we are an institute that believes in the power of cooperation, collective intelligence, and in art and culture as tools for social transformation. With each new challenge, we reaffirm our essence: creative, committed, resilient, and versatile. We manage cultural facilities, develop environmental projects, structure programs from the ground up, and operate across every stage — from conception to implementation, from fundraising to accountability — always with responsibility, transparency, and passion for what we do.

We believe in connections. Our partnerships span the entire country and extend beyond it, creating networks of support, coordination, and sustainability. Our governance model is robust, transparent, and ethical, supported by a Board of Directors, a Fiscal Council, and an active Compliance area. This structure provides legal certainty and fosters trust among our partners and society.

At idg, every project is more than a deliverable: it is a commitment to the present and an investment in the future. We work every day to make culture and the environment engines of development, inclusion, and innovation. And we do it by investing in what matters most: people. Because it is they — diverse, plural, and talented — who build, day by day, the paths we choose to follow.

Governance

With a solid governance model, idg conceives, implements, and manages initiatives with agility and legal, financial, and operational certainty. In addition to a Compliance area, we have a Board of Directors and a Fiscal Council, composed of highly experienced and qualified members.

Diversity

idg’s team operates in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Recife and Belém and is composed of 50% Black and Brown professionals, reaffirming our commitment to diversity and inclusion. More than 61% of leadership positions are held by women, and 27% of our professionals self-identify as belonging to a sexual or gender minority.

Commitment to the United Nations

idg is a signatory of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, which provides guidance for promoting sustainable growth and citizenship through committed and innovative leadership. Signatories also assume responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
