The Museum of Tomorrow was awarded a gold and two bronze medals at the 17th edition of the International Design & Communication Awards (IDCA) in Quebec, Canada, one of the sector's top awards in the world. The temporary exhibition of the Museum of Tomorrow, "The Flying Poet, Santos Dumont", won gold in the category of Best Scenography for aTemporary Exhibition; and bronze as Best Temporary Exhibition Communications. The main exhibition also won bronze as Best Scenography for a Permanent Exhibition. The institution was an IDCA finalist alongside the Australian Maritime Museum and the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. 

"The Flying Poet, Santos Dumont", which highlights the innovative ability of the Brazilian inventor with audiovisual language and interactive activities, also presents prototypes of the aviator's main creations and two full-size replicas: the Demoiselle airplane, the inventor's most complete project, and the pioneer 14bis. The show was finalist alongside "Machinic Life", from the Museum of the Future in Dubai, and "ZieZo Marokko",  from the Tropenmuseum Junior in Amsterdam. 

The event, which took place between the 15 th and the 17 th of November, is one of the most important meetings of communication, art and culture in the world, bringing together 250 professionals from museums and cultural institutions from Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia. 

About "The Flying Poet, Santos Dumont": The exhibition has the conception and realization of the Roberto Marinho Foundation, exclusive sponsorship of Shell and support from the Federal Government, through the Federal Law for Cultural Incentive. The curator is the designer Gringo Cardia and the scientific consulting is from biophysicist and researcher Henrique Lins de Barros.
